The #1 Reason Why Most Affiliates Fail

I’ve often seen people enter the Affiliate Marketing “game�, attempt to promote some product using minimal advertising, and when no sale is made, they simply give up and walk away. “That’s just not for me,� is what they usually say afterwards.

I’m guilty of it myself.

This, my friends, is nothing but a copout. Plain and simple. I apologize if I offend you by saying this, but it is the truth.

The reason that 99% of affiliates fail is that they are attempting to sell something that they know nothing about. If I asked you to “sell� me lithium hydroxide, would you be able to do it? Of course not! (If it even exists…)

That’s because you don’t have enthusiasm behind your product. Without true enthusiasm, it’s EASY to fail!

As one of my favorite saying goes: “Enthusiasm defines itself by its last four letters - I Am Sold Myself!�

So I would recommend to anyone who has tried Affiliate Marketing in the past, only to feel that “it’s not for you�, start over. But this time, do your research. Market a product that you can be PASSIONATE about; something you have existing knowledge about. Preferably it is something that you already use/own - that way, you can really sell the benefits of that product.

Benefits are what sell. Features are nice…but people want to hear those benefits. If you aren’t familiar with the product, it is difficult to convey its benefits to your potential customers.

With this in mind, re-think your strategy. Begin again. As Wanye Gretzkey once put it, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take�. Go ahead. Take another shot.
