Well…not actual wealth, as in $$$. But whenever I discover new and exciting places on the internet where I feel that the beginner internet entrepreneur - and the expert alike - will find great information and community support, I gotta share it with my readers.

I recently became a member over at the Self-Starters Weekly Tips Forum, and I’ve been back to the site about 7,437 times in the past week. (Hint…I like to exaggerate sometimes).

But in all honesty, this forum has that “magic” quality to it. It’s full of great people who know a lot about their craft. Plus, it’s run by Lynn Terry the editor of the popular Clicknewz.com…so you know it’s very professionally done and managed.

Do yourself a favor, if you’re interested in learning more about internet business. Join this forum!

In case you visited the site over the past few days, and found it to be all messed up, it was due to a server change. I’m now back online, and working to transfer everything over to the new server. When you really think about it, there is an obvious reason that EVERYONE in the world is not wealthy. In fact, it’s the same reason that it is impossible for everyone in the world to become wealthy.

Politics, governments, and foreign policies aside, there is only one reason that most people will never reach their goals: It’s just too hard.

Maybe you’re one of those people. Consider it. Do you find yourself putting off the hardest things in your life? I certainly am guilty of this at times.

Need more proof? Why are so many Americans overweight? There’s one very simple answer to this as well! I hate to disappoint everyone, but there is no complex answer here, either. It’s because exercise, dieting, and eating healthy is all hard work. Because we’re all looking for the “magic pill� that will make us thin, we don’t want to put the effort into losing the weight. Same goes for making money online!
In today’s “if it feels good, do it� society, and “instant gratification� mentality we’ve all come to adapt, hard work is an immediate turn-off. In fact, it is the reason that most people live their lives without reaching their potential. Does any of this sound familiar? I did to me, once I realized that I was making this same mistake.

You need to approach internet business just as you would as any other business. Even if you’ve only spent $100 to setup your internet business, approach it as if you’d spent $10,000. The effort you put behind your venture will effect its outcome 10 times out of 10.

…And if you do nothing else, be sure to understand: internet business will take effort. It’s not as easy as advertised. I promise. But a little effort - and a solid attitude - will take you a loooooong way in this field.

In the words of the great late President Kennedy, don’t choose to make money online “…because [it is] easy, but because [it is] hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of [your] energies and skills, because that challenge is one that [you] are willing to accept, one [you] are unwilling to postpone, and one which [you] intend to win.�

This attitude will make you succeed. You won’t allow yourself not to!

I’ve often seen people enter the Affiliate Marketing “game�, attempt to promote some product using minimal advertising, and when no sale is made, they simply give up and walk away. “That’s just not for me,� is what they usually say afterwards.

I’m guilty of it myself.

This, my friends, is nothing but a copout. Plain and simple. I apologize if I offend you by saying this, but it is the truth.

The reason that 99% of affiliates fail is that they are attempting to sell something that they know nothing about. If I asked you to “sell� me lithium hydroxide, would you be able to do it? Of course not! (If it even exists…)

That’s because you don’t have enthusiasm behind your product. Without true enthusiasm, it’s EASY to fail!

As one of my favorite saying goes: “Enthusiasm defines itself by its last four letters - I Am Sold Myself!�

So I would recommend to anyone who has tried Affiliate Marketing in the past, only to feel that “it’s not for you�, start over. But this time, do your research. Market a product that you can be PASSIONATE about; something you have existing knowledge about. Preferably it is something that you already use/own - that way, you can really sell the benefits of that product.

Benefits are what sell. Features are nice…but people want to hear those benefits. If you aren’t familiar with the product, it is difficult to convey its benefits to your potential customers.

With this in mind, re-think your strategy. Begin again. As Wanye Gretzkey once put it, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take�. Go ahead. Take another shot.

We’ve all heard of search engine optimization. We all know how important it is. But what you may NOT have heard about yet is something called “tagging�. Think of it as “SEO Plus�!

I heard about this today from one of my favorite ‘gurus’, Dave Vallieres. I checked it out…and now you need to as well. If driving traffic to your site is important to you, do NOT get left in the dust on this one.

Hey everyone…just wanted to pass this little tidbit along to you, and maybe you’ll be able to make a little money. After all, that’s what this site is all about!

As you all know, I am currently in college; and there is no better way to find some easy money than to sell your textbooks. Of course, to sell your books back to the school’s bookstore is the equivalent of lighting money on fire. If you bought a new book at the beginning of the semester for $100, you’d be lucky to get $30 when you sell it back to the bookstore.

Usually, the best way to go would be to post flyers around school (be sure to get permission if needed) with a list of the books you’re selling, along with your contact number and/or email address. You’ll almost always get more money selling directly to another student than selling back to the bookstore.

BUT, if you’re really just looking to get rid of those books, and don’t mind taking a little less money in return for less work, there are a ton of great online companies that will buy your books back from you right now. And to sweeten the deal even more, most will even PAY to have the book(s) shipped to them!!

It’s really a great way to find a couple extra bucks with very little effort. But a piece of advice - selling your books close to the start of a new semester (including summers!) will almost ALWAYS get you a better selling price from these companies. That means RIGHT NOW! So if you have some textbooks lying around, check out sites like http://www.collegetextbookbuyers.com (my personal favorite - and I’m making no commission for saying this!) and see how much $$$ they’ll pay you for those books.

Gotta love those little ways to make a couple bucks here and there.
